Learn About the Federal BEAD Broadband Program

Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program is a federal grant program that aims to get all Americans online by funding partnerships between states or territories, communities, and stakeholders to build infrastructure where we need it and to increase adoption of high-speed internet.

Under BEAD, New Hampshire will receive $196 million in funding to bring last-mile broadband infrastructure to the unserved and underserved areas of the state. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is working with the New Hampshire Department Business and Economic Affairs, Office of Broadband Initiatives, to plan for the deployment of this funding.
