Our theme this year is “From Conflict to Conversation” with Keynote presenter, Matt Lehrman.

Disagreement isn't only natural, it's necessary.  That's why successful local leaders must continually innovate their tactics to address complex and sensitive issues in ways that leave community members feeling welcomed, heard, and respected.

Matt Lehrman is the co-founder and managing director of Social Prosperity Partners, an Arizona-based consulting firm dedicated to the proposition that “Where people work together courageously, their potential is unlimited.”

As a national speaker, Matt inspires and instructs audiences of civic and nonprofit leaders on topics of civility and community engagement. (MattLehrman.com) He produces and hosts the Tell Me More podcast (TellMeMorePodcast.us) offering “courageous conversations” that invite audiences to listen deeply to diverse viewpoints, an essential quality in a healthy democracy.

Matt will also be presenting at a break out session called:  Let's Talk: From Conflict to Conversation.  Matt facilitates a follow-up discussion that invites attendees to share challenges and seek practical advice from each other. Come prepared to “wear your heart on your sleeve” about how to engage more people and gather agreement around whatever you hope to accomplish in your community.

This year’s event will be a live, in-person event in Manchester both days featuring keynote speakers, over 50 educational sessions, sponsors and exhibitors, and networking opportunities for hundreds of officials from all sections of municipal government.  This annual event helps support municipal leaders by equipping them with the latest knowledge, resources, and tools to advance their cities and towns and assist local officials in their daily roles and operations within municipalities.  There is no virtual or remote attendance this year.

You may still attend the NHMA Conference as a walk-in. Please bring a check for the registration fee with you when you come (we do not accept cash).
