NHMA will be holding two complimentary workshops on April 24 and June 5, 2025 to provide municipal officials with the tools and information to effectively serve your communities.  These free workshops are great as a primer for new local officials or as a refresher for more experienced local officials on the basics of town government.

Workshop Dates: April 24 or June 5, 2025

April 24th: NHMA Offices, 25 Triangle Park Drive, Concord, NH 03301. This workshop will be held in a hybrid format (In person attendance option and a virtual attendance option in Zoom).  In person attendance is limited to 60 people.

June 5th: Jaffrey Fire Station, 138 Turnpike Road, Jaffrey NH 03452.  This workshop will be held in person only.  In person attendance is limited to 60 people.

8:30 a.m. Registration and Continental Breakfast.  Lunch is on your own and ample time will be provided for attendees to get lunch.

Topics will include the Right-to-Know Law, town governance, ethics and conflicts of interest, removals, resignations and vacancies, running effective meetings, and more.  We will also have a presentation on volunteers and liability considerations provided by Primex as well as a presentation on hot topics pending before the New Hampshire State Legislature of concern to municipal officials.  Ample time allowed for questions, answers, and discussion.

Attendees will receive a complimentary electronic copy of the NHMA's 2025 edition of our comprehensive publication on municipal law, Knowing the Territory.  Additional materials such as the PowerPoint presentation will also be distributed electronically. No print outs of the materials or hard copy of the publication will be provided.

Workshop is free but pre-registration is required.  Registration is available until 5:00 pm on April 22, 2025 for the April 24th workshop and registration is available until 5:00pm on June 3, 2025 for the June 5th workshop. Registrations after this time cannot be guaranteed.  If your register but cannot attend, a recording of the workshop will be provided.
