Transfer Station Attendant (Part-time)

The Town of Greenland is accepting applications for part-time (averaging 18hrs/week) Town Transfer Station Attendant. The Town Transfer Station is opened year-round two days a week, Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Transfer Attendant shall help other workers with monitoring trash and recycling material received, while keeping the facility safe, clean and organized. Must provide good customer service and assist the public while enforcing rules and regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with a high school diploma or GED. Sufficient ability to understand and perform the major duties of the job and lift 50 pounds. Possession of, or ability to be certified as a Solid Waste Facility Operator. Sufficient physical ability and strength to adequately perform the assigned tasks. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented and customer service focused. Starting pay $15.50/hr and is part-time without benefits (other than earned personal/sick time, as outlined in the Town Personnel Policy).
