The Town of Sunapee seeks a forward-thinking Finance Director to serve as both strategic leader and hands-on financial manager. This senior-level role oversees all core finance and HR functions, supports budgeting and capital planning, and partners across departments to align operations with long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting, budgeting, payroll, and reporting
- Lead HR administration and ensure compliance
- Develop annual budgets and multi-year capital plans
- Collaborate with department heads and elected officials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or CPA preferred
- 5–7 years in municipal/public finance (NH experience a plus)
- Strong fund accounting, HR, and planning skills essential
Salary: $85,000–$103,000, commensurate with experience
