The Town of Raymond is accepting applications for the position of Tax Collector to function independently in all official Tax Collector responsibilities while working with the Town Manager to address issues relating to tax and deeded property matters. This is a full-time, non-exempt 40/hour per week position responsible for administrative and technical work involving the collection of all taxes due to the Town of Raymond, lien and deed noticing, disposition of deeded properties, overseeing Town’s Back Tax Program, Deeded Property Clean-up Initiative, to include contracting of services and preparation of Tax Default Report for Board of Selectmen Action; all other related work as required. Additional duties may include periodic support to Planning Administration and Front-End Clerk duties.
This highly motivated, detail oriented individual will exercise independent judgment and initiative in the planning, administration and execution of the department’s services, in the interpretation and application of laws, regulations and procedures. Performs a variety of responsible functions within the guidelines established by statute and professional standards. Must be able to operate Microsoft Office Package to include Word, Excel; experience in Munismart and Vision software programs are a plus.
