Senior Planner-Community Development

The City of Concord is seeking a forward thinking, people oriented individual to fill the position of Senior Planner in the Planning Division. The City is in the midst of exciting changes to the zoning code and site plan regulations, in addition to anticipating a Master Plan update in the near future. This position is responsible for plan review and staffing various committees. Writing, public speaking, plan review, and community engagement skills are highly valued, along with positive energy and a motivation for positive community change.

 

DEPARTMENT:  Community Development Department, Planning Division

TYPICAL WORK SHIFT/SCHEDULE:   Days, Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY:
 
 Provides land use and site planning assistance to developers, property owners, the general public, and other City staff. Reviews applications for development permits and provides recommendations to the Planning Board. Assists developers and property owners through the plan review process. Provides transportation planning assistance and recommendations to various committees and commissions. Works on special projects.
