Hampton's Highway Department has an opening for a Full-time Rubbish Collector. A person in this position collects rubbish and/or recyclables from containers in residential and commercial neighborhoods; empties containers into the refuse truck; returns container and picks up trash, broken tree limbs, and other debris from street curbs, grounds and other town locations and places in truck.

A candidate for this position should have a High School diploma or GED, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities of the position. Must possess and maintain a valid driver license. Must obtain and maintain a CDL-B classification with a tank endorsement within eight (8) months of appointment to position. Employee will operate Class CDL-B when assigned.
Successful candidate must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical and a criminal and motor vehicle background check.
