Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

 PRIMARY DUTIES

Oversees the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) planning and response activities within the Greater Nashua Public Health Region to increase the capacity of the region to prepare for and respond to public health threats and emergencies. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Region PH Emergency Response Annex in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders throughout the region and implementing initiatives to strengthen the public health infrastructure of the Greater Nashua region; maintain connections between diverse community sectors to improve preparedness, response, and recovery. This position will be required to be accessible 24/7 to respond to events/emergencies/incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience; Master’s degree in Public Health/Health Management and Policy, Emergency Management, Public Health Planning/Administration or related field. Applicant should possess good written and oral communication skills;  be highly proficient in Microsoft Office; demonstrate the ability to apply creative problem solving skills and flexible thinking to challenges within the functional responsibilities of emergency response,   possess knowledge of municipal, state governments and social services; bilingual skills a plus; demonstrate leadership skills, ability to work autonomously with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across partners of multi-sector disciplines.
