Police Services Specialist

 Job Description

 

Grade 14

40 hours per week: 4 days on, 2 days off - Rotating shifts required.

Shifts include 7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Nights, weekends and Holidays required

General Statement of Duties

Serves as an initial contact person for receiving public within the Manchester Police Department; Renders assistance to the general public and takes whatever action necessary and appropriate to meet the needs and requests for public service; performs directly related work as required.

Acceptable Experience and Training

·         Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, preferably supplemented by additional course work in Criminal Justice; and

·         Some experience in general office administration; or

·         Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Required Special Qualifications

·         Ability to pass a background check.

Tattoo Policy - The Manchester Police Department does allow tattoos; however, no inappropriate or offensive tattoos are permitted and at no point allowed on the hands, face, neck or head. Inappropriate or offensive tattoos will be determined by the Chief of Police or his designee.
