Police Officers

The Town of Swanzey Police Department is currently accepting applications for our full-time and part-time Police Officer positions. Applications may be picked up at the Swanzey Town Hall or for an electronic copy contact Human Resources at mkerris@swanzeynh.gov.

Competitive sign on bonuses:

·         Certified officers can receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 based on qualifications.

·         Uncertified officers can receive a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 bonus based on qualifications.

Competitive Pay

·         Starting pay for certified officers is up to $32.94 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, with overtime and detail opportunities.

·         Starting pay for uncertified hires of $25 per hour with an increase to $26.50 with the successful competition of NH Police Academy, probationary period, and field training.
