Full-time Police Officer
The Newington New Hampshire Police Department is seeking certified or non-certified, career oriented, intellectual, motivated applicants to join our team. The selected candidates must be able to complete the NH Police Standards & Training Full Time Academy if non-certified, possess excellent verbal & written communication skills and pass a thorough background investigation including, but not limited to, polygraph, physical examination & medical screening.
The Newington Police Department is a forward-thinking, community-minded agency with room for advancement and growth. Currently, officers work shifts that rotate every 13 weeks giving officers exposure to all hours of policing. The Newington Police Department provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, services to a small residential district, a large retail and industrial district and is home to the New Hampshire Air National Guard Base located on Pease. The Newington Police Department is actively Nationally Accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA.) Minimum Requirements:
- Age: Minimum 21 years old prior to swearing in.
- Education: High School diploma or GED, higher education preferable.
- Experience: Experience in police/corrections or military equivalent preferred but not required.
