Police Officer - Higher Salary - Hiring Bonus
The Chester Police Department is seeking motivated, hardworking applicants of exceptional character for the position of full-time police officer. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and must have high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and excellent communication and writing skills. Must have ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Police Standards and Training Council for the State of NH (NHPSTC). Preference will be afforded to those candidates already certified by NHPSTC or whose out-of-state police certification would be recognized by NHPSTC. Applicants may be required to pass a written exam, physical agility test, oral board interviews, psychological testing, extensive background investigation, and medical examination. Current base pay ranges from $50,644.40 to $71,489.60 depending upon experience / qualifications. A hiring bonus of up to $5,000 will be dependent on prior experience / qualifications. This position will remain open until filled.
