Police Officer

The Northwood Police Department seeks qualified candidates for the position of Full Time Police Officer.

Interested candidates should possess one of the following minimum qualifications; an Associate's Degree from and accredited college or university, two years of honorable service in any branch of the US Armed Forces, or a New Hampshire Police Officer Certification. The candidate chosen will be required to successfully complete a fitness test, an oral board interview, a psychological evaluation, a medical examination including a drug screen, and submit to a thorough background investigation which will include a polygraph examination. Any chosen candidate who is not New Hampshire Certified will be required to successfully complete the full time NH Police Academy.

The Town of Northwood offers a competitive starting salary and benefit package. Starting salary is between $44,167 to $60,383 based on experience. Already certified New Hampshire Officers are also eligible for a $12,000 sign-on bonus.
