Planning & Community Development Clerk

The Town of Boscawen, NH is accepting applications for the full-time position of Planning & Community Development Clerk.  The Town seeks a qualified individual to perform responsible administrative, technical and customer service functions requiring the exercise of judgement, the ability to interpret guidelines and to carry out assignments independently.  The primary responsibilities will be processing building permits, working with the various boards and commissions on projects and daily interactions with residents and builders from the community.  The ability to multitask, willingness to learn Avitar Software, work with challenging and changing situations while keeping a sense of humor and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.  Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent: one to two years’ experience in a municipal setting preferred; or any progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Valid driver’s license.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, appointed position compensated by an hourly rate.

Pay Range: $14.46 to $18.88 per hour with a generous benefit package.
