Patrol Officer

The Town of Effingham, NH (approximate population 1,830) is seeking a motivated and qualified candidate to serve as the Police Patrol Officer. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build a respected department, earning the confidence of residents, community organizations, and surrounding municipalities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enforce State Laws and Town Ordinances
• Follow Departmental policies, procedures, and training programs
• Oversee Training, if required.
• Coordinate with Mutual Aid and Regional Law Enforcement Cooperation
• Acts as the Department’s representative to the Public and other agencies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current New Hampshire Police Officer Certification
• Excellent Communication Skills and Writing Skills
• Ability to meet and maintain all certification, fitness, and continuing education requirements
• Valid Driver’s License and successful completion of a background investigation

Compensation of Benefits:

Compensation will be dependent based on experience.
