The City of Rochester, NH Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician in the Public Buildings Division to perform responsible, skilled building maintenance duties.
The ideal candidate will have experience and working knowledge of:
· Maintenance and repairs to interior and exterior of buildings, mechanical equipment, and preventative maintenance programs;
· Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting trade;
· The use of power tools;
· Maintaining and performing minor service to motorized equipment.
HS diploma or equivalent; possession of a valid driver’s license required. Moderate to heavy physical effort under varying weather conditions required; will be required to be on a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency calls.
Pay range $19.50 to 26.45/hour DOQ/E with competitive benefits. Pre-employment testing will include educational and criminal background, motor vehicle, medical & drug screen.
