Information Technology Director

The City of Lebanon, NH - is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of an Information Technology Director.  This is an exempt, non-affiliate position, primarily working Monday – Friday.  Due to the nature of the position, some night meetings and additional hours are required outside of the regularly scheduled hours.  The weekly salary range for the Information Technology Director is $1,670.78 - $2,255.37 depending upon the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience of the individual.  The salary is enhanced with a flex benefits package including vacation, sick, & personal days; health and dental insurance; life insurance; retirement benefits; short term disability & more!

 Responsibilities: The Information Technology Director is responsible for coordinated implementation of major computing installations, upgrades, and management of all centralized computing services for the City. Primary responsibilities include recommending networks & systems selections, plans major implementations of network and systems equipment, plans and organizes network and system upgrades/maintenance and repairs of all technology systems of the City. Achieving Citywide and departmental technology initiatives by recommending networks & systems selections to ensure that the City is positioned to take advantage of emerging technology; encouraging the development of shared departmental technology goals and objectives and ensuring the integration of all City technology resources. The IT Director leads, directs, organizes and guides the processes of the City platforms and departmental initiatives through to completion. In addition, this position is responsible for the security of the entire networks; developing, instituting and updating the City network disaster recovery plan. Develops/tracks/oversees the IT budget; plans, prioritizes and organizes the workflow of the IT department; keeps current with advancing technology and implementing IT best practices.  The IT Director supervises and evaluates the Systems Administrator & two IT Technical Specialists. The Information Technology Director reports to the Finance Director.

 Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent, 7-10 yrs.’ experience with computer networks, large information systems, and project management. Substantial knowledge and experience with servers, data storage and operating systems in a Windows environment, SCADA systems and security. Disaster recovery, backup systems, virtualization, SAN experience required.  Network design, configuration, network security, and maintenance experience required. Working knowledge of relational database, integration of Cisco logical and physical modeling, integration concepts and methods, ERP systems, business intelligence and web technologies. IT management & project management, implementation, and wireless configuration preferred. Experience in budgeting and working with personal computers in a networked environment required. 

Requirements:

·         7 – 10 years’ experience with computer networks, large information systems, and project management. 

·         Windows environment 

·         SCADA systems and security 

·         Cisco logical and physical modeling experience preferred integration concepts and methods 

·        Disaster recovery, backup systems, virtualization, SAN experience required.
