Facilities Director (Part-time)
The Town of Boscawen is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Facilities Director. This is a part-time 32 hour per week position.
Responsibilities Include: Oversight of all maintenance operations for the Town including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Information Technology, and general construction. Develops, proposes, and manages the budget for all Town buildings, including National Historic Register buildings. Researches grant opportunities and prepares and submits necessary paperwork with approval of the Selectboard. Ensures safe and clean environment for staff and building visitors. Develops long terms plans for repair, replacement and/or renovation of vital systems. Represents the Town on all building related construction projects – manages bid preparation, solicitation, and evaluation. Attends Select Board meetings (as needed), budget meetings and hearings, CIP meetings, and Joint Loss Safety meetings.
Qualifications: High school diploma and/or technical and/or college degree(s) or equivalent; Minimum seven years of experience in buildings management, including working knowledge (certifications not required) of HVAC systems, plumbing, roofing, IT systems, electrical, general construction. Experience with LCHIP funded stewardship plans a plus. Must demonstrate ability and experience in managing contractors, lead in developing and evaluating contract bid processes. Ability to respond rapidly to building maintenance emergencies. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hr based on qualifications. There are no benefits.
