Employee Benefits Assistant
Reporting to the Benefits Manager, performs administrative/clerical, data entry, and accounting support of the daily operations of City and School District benefits programs including HSA/FSA, health, dental, life, and disability insurance for active and separated employees, retirees, and dependents. Provides exceptional face-to-face, telephonic, and written customer service related to benefits administration. Performs other duties to support the Human Resources Department as assigned.
One to three years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree in business or HR related field preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have knowledge of benefits administration practices and laws, be skilled at data entry, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, verbal and written communication abilities, and proven attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in using all software associated with this position within sixty (60) days following acceptance of this position. A high level of confidentiality and accuracy is required.
