DEPARTMENT: Nashua Fire Rescue
HOURS WORKED: Rotating Shift – 10 Hour Days, 14 Hour Nights – Days Off In Between
AFFILIATION: IAFF Local #789
SALARY & GRADE: Starting annual rate not to exceed $53,776
PRIMARY DUTIES
Processes emergency calls for assistance in an expeditious and accurate manner to best serve the needs of the citizens of Nashua; directs incoming calls to appropriate departments; gives information and directions to the public; maintains required logs; and monitors alert systems; other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants with previous emergency communications experience preferred; must have the ability to perform all job functions under emergency conditions; capable of operating various computer equipment, electronic business equipment, and municipal fire alarm system; ability to respond to emergency call-backs in a timely manner; must possess a valid driver’s license; high school diploma or certified equivalent.
A fee will be charged for advanced phases of testing. Qualified candidates will be notified of the testing date.
