Deputy Town Clerk
The Town of Swanzey seeks a qualified resident of Swanzey (per RSA) to serve in the position of Deputy Town Clerk. This part-time position is approximately 20-25 hours per week, with starting hourly rate around $18.00 depending on experience.
This position supports the Town Clerk, assisting with the following: process motor vehicle registrations, maintain Town/State vital and other official records, and license dogs.
The successful candidate will have: High School diploma and three years’ experience in banking/bookkeeping/retail or a similar industry that included handling money and making bank deposits; strong customer service skills; and strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Completion of a satisfactory criminal and motor vehicle record check. You must provide a copy of your annual Credit Report
Involves travel to meetings and may involve attendance at occasional evening meetings.
Certification as a Municipal Agent for the Division of Motor Vehicles; trained in Division of Motor Vehicles Privacy Act and NHVRIN Vital Records course required within six months of employment; Valid motor vehicle driver’s license and ability to be bonded required. As per state law, the position requires Town of Swanzey residency
