Conservation Coordinator (Part-time)

The Town of Hampton, NH (estimated population 15,500) is a dynamic Rockingham County community rich in tradition with a vibrant and expanding economic base, seeks a part-time Conservation Coordinator.  This part-time position performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks associated with the review and compliance with land use and conservation-related regulations.  Organizes and coordinates activities and responsibilities between the Conservation Commission and other respective boards like the Planning Board and Zoning Board.  Interacts regularly with the general public, consultants, and engineers to answer questions and provide clarification on activities that require a Town or NHDES Wetland permit.  This part-time position involves a combination of office work and field visits/inspections, along with attending at least two evening meetings per month.

Education, Training and Experience:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, resource protection, natural resource management, soil science, or other related natural resource field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work week is 28-hours, salary $21.67/hr.  Pre-employment conditions include successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, physical exam, and criminal and motor vehicle background checks.  Valid Driver’s license required.
