Collection System Operator
The City of Laconia Public Works Department is seeking an individual to perform a variety of skilled, technical, supervisory, and administrative work in the planning, construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems. Position requires a thorough knowledge of sewage pump station operation, maintenance, and S.C.A.D.A. systems, including but not limited to alarm monitoring and response, telemetry and PLC process control. Knowledge of New Hampshire D.E.S regulations are required. Must possess a valid NH motor vehicle operator’s license. CDL-B with tanker and air brake endorsements, or the ability to attain within six months of employment is required.
Minimum Qualifications include graduation from a two-year college with a degree in environmental science or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience related to the construction, repair and maintenance of wastewater collection or treatment systems OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
