Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer (Part-time)

The Town of Brookline, NH is accepting applications for a part-time (24-hour per week) Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer. 

The position inspects construction throughout the Town to ensure safety and compliance with the adopted NH State building code and Town zoning requirements.  The position reports to the Town Administrator.  The individual must have a comprehensive knowledge of International, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical codes for one and two-family dwellings.  International Code Council (ICC) certification in Residential Building Construction desired.  Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills are a must.  Minimum qualifications include two years of experience as a Building Inspector, Zoning Administrator, or Code Enforcement Officer.  Experience in the private building sector is strongly desired.  The position is eligible for vacation and holiday pay and a pay level commensurate with experience.
