Administrative Assistant - Fire Rescue
The Town of Peterborough is seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our team.
Our Fire Department has over 3,000 emergency calls for service annually. This position requires excellent time management skills, while also being flexible with priorities and interruptions. Empathy is needed for successfully working in an emergency services organization, as there may be exposure to graphic or emotionally upsetting situations.
This is a 24/7 operation, where the office is also our employees’ home for 24 hour shifts.
This is a dog friendly office. Several employees bring their dog to work.
Applicants should possess strong accounting and database skills, including having the ability to build and utilize Excel spreadsheets. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining confidentiality. Prior experience in a professional public safety office setting is preferred.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Salary range is $21 to $25 per hour.
