The City of Lebanon, NH is currently seeking interested and qualified candidates for the position of Seasonal Laborer - Winter (full time).
The position performs seasonal work supporting winter operations in the Maintenance and Solid Waste divisions. The position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent or Solid Waste Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: performs manual work such as shoveling, raking, hand sweeping, digging, etc., provides support for infrastructure maintenance; loads and unloads vehicles; performs pavement patching, snow and ice removal and abatement, storm water control, etc.; operates a variety of hand held/power tools, such as pavement saw, jack hammer, compressor and attachments, snow blower, etc.; operates a variety of light vehicular equipment both on and off-road such as sidewalk plow, light trucks up to and including 1 ½ tons with dump, broom, sander, and plow attachments, and riding maintenance equipment; etc.; performs minor custodial duties such as rubbish collection, sweeping, mopping and general office and garage cleanup.
2 positions are available – 1 in the Maintenance division and 1 in the Solid Waste division. Overtime may be required.
Applicants must be 18 or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Prior experience performing seasonal winter support operations is preferred.
