Firefighter/EMS Provider

The Bristol Fire Department has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Day Firefighter/EMS Provider. The Department is seeking energetic applicants that are looking to serve and be a part of this great Lakes Region community. The successful candidate will work with the Fire Chief to deliver the department’s Fire Prevention Program in addition to emergency response.

The Town of Bristol has a population of 3,054 residents. That population increases to more than 6,000 seasonal, because of the natural resources of the area. Bristol is located on Newfound Lake and is minutes from Ragged Mountain and Mount Cardigan. These attractions, along with Sugar Hill State Forest, three rivers, a revitalized Central Square, and award winning dining options provide many recreational and leisure opportunities.

Salary Range:

$40,997 to 54,526/annual

Minimum Qualifications:

• Firefighter II (ProBoard or ability to obtain reciprocity in NH)
• Licensed New Hampshire EMT (or ability to obtain NH license)
• Must pass criminal and N.H. motor vehicle background checks.
• Current CPAT certificate  OR   Lateral transfer of full-time career personnel pursuant to State of New Hampshire Administrative Rule 703.01

Additional Consideration for:

• Advanced EMT or Paramedic
• Fire Inspector I (will be required within 1 year of hire)
• CDL-B with tank and airbrake endorsements
• Associates Degree or higher
