Hooksett Village Water Precinct is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Assistant Superintendent. Candidates must possess active NH Grade II Distribution and Grade I Treatment certifications, or be able to immediately obtain license reciprocity, and have at least 5 years of experience as a Water Works Operator. The ideal candidate will be confident in their abilities to repair and troubleshoot typical water system distribution and treatment issues, and also be adept at recordkeeping and the use of digital detection, location and testing devices. Candidates must possess active NEWWA backflow testing certification or be able to obtain said certification within a year. Supervisory or management experience is a plus; at a minimum, candidates must demonstrate a can-do attitude, an ability to work well with others and a proficiency at working independently, effectively and with minimal supervision. Candidates willing to assist the Precinct in modernizing and expanding its operations are preferred. Candidates must successfully complete an employment application, physical exam, background check, motor vehicle record check, illegal substance testing, and be able to comply with all job description requirements including rotating on-call duty and the need to respond promptly to emergencies. Fully qualified and licensed candidates can anticipate a starting rate of approximately $30.74/hr with an annual wage of over $70K including overtime and on-call pay. The Precinct offers a pleasant, supportive working environment and also provides a generous benefit/incentive package, including 90% health insurance, over two weeks of comp time per year for weekend duty, an annual clothing allowance and a public employee pension.
