Finance Director

Town of Wolfeboro

The  Town  of  Wolfeboro,  NH  is  seeking a  "hands  on" Finance  Director with excellent interpersonal skills to perform,  with assistance from staff, accounting, payroll, financial  reporting, auditing, and budgeting functions. Financial oversight includes the General fund, as well as the Water, Electric, Sewer, Ice Rink Enterprise funds and Grants fund. The Finance  Director maintains and  updates financial procedures, oversees internal  controls, reconciles general ledger accounts,  directs  operations of finance department and supervises staff, prepares annual Town budget, prepares and analyzes monthly financial  statements, directs  audit  preparation, serves  as  primary  liaison with external  auditors, supervises cash  management, manages technology infrastructure and the computerized accounting system, prepares a variety of financial  reports for the Town Manager, coordinates communications and  regular  reports on financial matters with other departments.

The ideal candidate: BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business or public  administration or closely related  field, strong leadership skills, high ethical  and  professional  values, strong customer  service  orientation, and  a minimum of five years of directly related financial management experience in the public sector. Master's degree in a related field is a plus. The applicant must have strong local government fund accounting experience.

Salary range, depending upon experience and qualifications: $80,000 - $100,000.
