Police Officer

The Pelham Police Department is currently accepting applications for Full-Time Police Officers. 

Minimum qualifications for this position include: a minimum of 60 credit hours in an associate or baccalaureate educational program, or two years of full-time experience as a certified police officer at the time of appointment, or four years of active-duty military experience with an honorable discharge; possess valid driver’s license; be a U.S. citizen; be in good physical condition; and possess the ability and desire to deal with the public.  Candidates will be required to complete a rigorous hiring process, to include: written exam; physical agility testing; oral board; psychological exam; polygraph exam and medical/physical exam; as well as an extensive background check.

Written Testing will be held on April 10, 2024 at 6:00 pm & May 4, 2024 at 8:30 am.  Those receiving passing scores on the written test will be invited to participate in oral boards on May 4, 2024 at 10:00 am. Alternate testing dates may be available.
