Assessor II

The City of Rochester, NH is accepting applications for a full-time Assessor II to perform technical field and office work in support of the assessing activities of the department. The majority of work is performed independently, in accordance with standard practices, state and local statutes, regulations, guidelines and previous training. Work requires a high degree of judgmental reasoning to perform appraisals of real property. Generally establishes own daily work plan and prioritizes and organizes, in order to complete work assignments. 

Special Requirements 

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, in real estate appraisal or related subject, or 3-5 years of training and experience in appraisal and assessment practices

• Possession of a valid driver’s license

• DRA Certified Property Assessor designation or the ability to obtain within one year required 

RMEA grade 10; Pay range $28.18 to $37.97 dependent upon qualifications and experience with competitive benefits. Pre-employment testing will include criminal, driving record, medical & drug screen.
